The outlook differs depending on the type of Motor Neuron Disease (MND) and the age at which it starts. Certain MNDs like Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) progress slowly and are not life-threatening. While individuals with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) may seem stable for extended periods, significant improvement is unlikely. However, MNDs like Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and certain types of SMA are ultimately fatal.
