Cerebellar hypoplasia is a neurological condition characterized by an underdeveloped and smaller-than-usual cerebellum. It is often associated with congenital malformation syndromes like Walker-Warburg syndrome, a form of muscular dystrophy linked with inherited metabolic disorders. Symptoms in infants may include floppy muscle tone, difficulties with walking and balance, delays in development or speech, seizures, involuntary eye movements, and intellectual disability.
